This group (5 former PVHS math club members) competed in Penn State's Nittany AI (Artificial Intelligence) Challenge.  The Nittany AI Challenge offers teams of Penn State students, faculty, and staff the chance to compete for grants totaling $50,000 for developing AI–based solutions that solve real-world problems, improve the student experience at Penn State, and/or generate innovative start-up ideas.

The group of seven, six of whom were Perk Valley graduates, were awarded the top prize of $30,000 for their design of LionPlanner, an #AI #solution that provides intelligent, personalized, and scalable guidance to @penn_state students on the opportunities, including clubs, courses, activities, and electives, available to them. Team members included: Michael RoosQuinn Verbeke, Thanh Tran, Matthew Mancini, Dylan Shoemaker, Christina Warren, and Benjamin Proto.
