All students, to help keep our computer systems secure, are required to change their passwords by  today Friday, March 6.  See this video for instructions. The new password must be at least 8 characters long, use upper and lower case letters, and should include a number and or symbol. They may not use their name, username, or student ID number in the password.  Please double check with your student to ensure they have changed it this week as they will be locked out of the system mid-week next week if they do not. Thank you for your help with this.

There is a half-day (11:30 dismissal) for students on March 17th.  AM tech students will attend tech as they normally do however we will not be sending our PM tech students.

There is an extended AM homeroom on March 12th.  Our seniors will receive their graduation project folders and assignment that morning and following that those who are scheduled to go on the senior trip will be meeting.   Freshman will have a concluding Link Crew activity and the sophomores, juniors and seniors who are not going on senior trip will be working on a career piece.

Last spring the state began their own tip line Safe2Say.  This tip line will enable you to send anonymous tips to notify the proper authorities to any number of concerns such as mental health concerns, safety, drugs/alcohol, bullying and more.  There are several ways to report a concern; you can call 1-844-safe2say, go to the Safe2Say or download the app.  Your tip will be forwarded to the appropriate person.

Don't forget, in an emergency, please call 911.

Work at PV as a Substitute Aide! Looking to take your involvement with the district to the next level? Submit your application as a Substitute Teacher Aide and spend your days providing meaningful service to students and staff in our schools. No formal teaching experience is required, just a willingness to work with students of all ages and abilities thoughout the district. Although regular availability is preferred, this job provides significant scheduling flexibility from week to week. Apply now online or contact Susan Angel (sangel@pvsd.org) with questions.

We have recently updated our eligibility processes.  Students are still expected to maintain a minimum grade average of 60% in all classes. In the event a student’s grade average in one course drops below 60% they will be notified and placed on a one week probationary period. Students are expected to seek assistance for the class/course during the probationary period and may still participate in PIAA sports or extra-curricular and co-curricular school activities during that week.  For a student on probation who has not achieved a passing average (higher than 60%) by the second week, he/she will be ineligible for a period of one week and not permitted to participate in any PIAA sports or extra-curricular and co-curricular school activities beginning Sunday and extending to the following Saturday.

Students with grade averages below 60% in two or more courses will not be afforded a probationary period and will be declared ineligible.
