We will be holding a lockdown/Run Hide Fight drill with an “active shooter” scenario sometime next week. We are required by state law to conduct a drill such as this within the first 60 days of school. PVTV programming this week has included information for students and staff. When we conduct the drill we will clearly state that this is a drill.

Students who forget their IDs at home are to report to the main office for a temporary ID. Students will receive a detention upon the third time they have forgotten their ID. Students who are refusing to wear their ID or forget extremely often will be facing further discipline. Thank you for encouraging your student to have their ID.
Future Readiness Event: Are you willing to share with our students about your career or information about how our students can get involved in our community? Please consider joining us for this event on Thursday, November 14th. Here is a link with more information. Below you will find the student schedule for that morning. Seniors who might have the privilege to come in later in the mornings are strongly encouraged to arrive by 7:50AM for this event.
The farmer’s almanac is predicting an interesting winter with several major snow storms. The district calendar does have 3 snow days built into it. In the event that we have more than 3 snow days, we will add days to the end of the year. Final exams are the LAST THREE days of the year, regardless of when that is. Please be cognizant of this when you are planning your get-a-aways in June. We do not offer early exams for students who will be absent for exams nor will we approve educational trips during exams. Student’s who are not in school for their final exam will need to make up the exam within two weeks of the exam date.
Conference time is right around the corner. We will have our conferences on Nov 25th and 26th. There will be evening conferences available on the 25th. Please directly contact a teacher/counselor if you wish to have a conference.
American Education Week is celebrated Nov. 18-22 and to mark the occasion, Perkiomen Valley School District will be hosting a Parent Visitation Day on Wednesday, Nov. 20. (Please note that this date has been changed from what was promoted in the printed activities calendar you may have received. The printed calendar erroneously noted American Education Week as the week of Nov. 13.) Parent Visitation Day times for the HS are 9am to 1pm. Please note that we cannot make accommodations for parents to eat lunch with their student. Volunteer clearances are not necessary to visit on this day, but you will need to be prepared to show your driver’s license when you sign in at your child’s school. Please do not bring younger siblings along for the visit. Please be respectful of student privacy issues and refrain from capturing photos/video during your visit.
