Good morning,

I hope this email finds you well.  We are in the homestretch and excited for the start of the school year Tuesday.  

Teachers will be meeting with their students via Zoom during their assigned class periods. Zoom information can be found in the Google Classroom for each teacher.  If your student uses their cell phone or chromebook time, they should be right on time for class.

If your child has forgotten their password, he/she can replace it at the website Resetting Password. Please watch the short video and follow the instructions.

If your student is having technology issues please email the help desk at helpdesk@pvsd.org for assistance.

Google classrooms can be accessed from Class Link.  If you are not using a school issued device you can access Class Link by downloading an app or going to a link as indicated below.

This year’s First Day Packet materials are being shared online. You can get to First Day Packets by going to PVSD website, select Parents and then select First Day Packets. Click on the folder that is for your child’s level. There are several forms that must be completed and returned to school. 

Those forms are:

  • Limerick letter/authorization form
  • Health Emergency Information from
  • Symptom Monitoring Acknowledgement form

You may return theses forms in any of the following ways:

  • Download, print, fill out the form and mail it to your child’s school
  • Download, print and fill out the form, take a picture of it, and email it to your child’s building secretary (see emails below)

There is an optional publicity refusal form to complete - this only needs to be submitted if you do not want your child’s image used for publicity purposes in the coming school year. A student accident insurance form is also available and optional.

There are state vaccination requirements for students at various grade levels. Pennsylvania has extended the due date requirement for vaccinations for two months from the start of school. Please see the attached flyer for more of an explanation of required vaccinations. Additionally, here is some information for your student to assist with the online platform.  Best Practices for Video Conferencing 

Meet the Teacher Night is scheduled for September 24th this year.  It will be a virtual event. More information will be sent out next week.

Student text and material Grab and Go will be held on September 10th and September 14 from 3pm - 6 pm.  Teachers will notify students if they will have materials that need to be picked up during the first several days of school. Details will be provided prior to the grab and go dates. We are aware of a conflict for a number of students and will work with them on an individual basis.

Information was sent to parents of seniors and to the seniors this past week about the Senior Sunset Welcome Back Event this Monday, September 7th from 6 pm until 8 pm at the Bus Loop.  We are looking forward to seeing the Class of 2021.
